About Us
JCC Association of North America is the continental umbrella organization for the Jewish Community Center Movement, which includes more than 350 JCC, YM-YWHA and camp sites in the United States and Canada. Our mission is to help JCCs serve their communities and inspire Jewish journeys. The advantages of belonging have never been greater. As the eyes and ears of the JCC Movement, we follow the latest developments and trends, and explore the ways that local JCCs can use this knowledge most effectively. Our staff members fly thousands of miles each year to consult with individual JCCs on board development and marketing, finances and operations to help JCCs find solutions to the challenges they face. Our research studies, manuals, and best practices guides help JCCs develop their policies and JCC Excellence: The Benchmarking Project has been an invaluable tool for many JCCs.
Our early childhood and adult services divisions have originated exciting programming that we have made available to JCCs. Innovative, creative, and replicable, our programs are conceived and designed to work for you.
Our staff professionals travel all across the continent to work closely with JCCs of different sizes to help you serve your communities more effectively. We offer hands-on training on a variety of topics for JCC professionals, both regionally and continentally. We provide ongoing recruitment and placement services for professionals working in JCCs, as well as executive placement, and we administer graduate scholarship programs for students interested in pursuing lifelong careers in Jewish community centers.
We organize annual continental programs, such as the JCC Maccabi Games® and JCC Maccabi ArtsFest®. Our Israel Office plans stimulating and original educational/travel seminars for JCC leaders, staff, members, camps, and our JCC Maccabi Israel groups. They provide frequent electronic updates on what’s going on in Israel culture and politics, which JCCs can use to bring Israel closer.
