The Marcus JCC of Atlanta is firing up the grill for the JCCs of North America Biennial Barbecue. Traditional specialties of barbecued brisket and fried chicken are on the menu, along with other Southern delights. The MJCCA is going all out to show Biennial delegates a good time. Naomi Less and Jewish Chicks Rock will entertain (Naomi was an artist-in-residence at JCC Maccabi ArtsFest®), and partygoers will be able to enjoy a performance of “Disco Inferno” by Jerry’s Habima Theatre. Habima is the professionally led award-winning theater group featuring actors with developmental disabilities. A mashup of 1970’s music and “Damn Yankees,” the show is a delight with a sensational “I-love-that-song” score. Attendees will also be able to tour the JCC and the Weinstein Center for Adult Day Services, the JCC’s groundbreaking center for older adults with cognitive impairments. Make sure you’re at the Biennial to enjoy this wonderful evening at the Marcus JCC of Atlanta.
