Forum 3 – The Human Factor in Building Board Capacity

What does it mean to get the “right” person on your board? How do you optimize each board member’s contributions to the board and the JCC. This session will explore the “human” factor, i.e., what each person brings to the board member role, and how it impacts the board governance function. A board development model will be presented that outlines strategies for building board capacity from recruitment through completion of a board term. Participants will develop an action plan specific to their JCC for building board capacity.
