Message from our Chair
Dear Colleagues:
I hope you are planning to come to the 2010 Biennial in Atlanta. If you’re unsure whether you should attend, think about this: Your JCC is facing unprecedented challenges, and it’s up to you to help it survive and thrive.
How are you going to do that?
By attending the 2010 JCCs of North America Biennial Convention and learning what the experts and leaders of other JCCs recommend; by choosing to immerse yourself in one critical issue, or finding out the latest thinking on several; by listening to topnotch business and nonprofit leaders talk about dealing with similar challenges; by sharing your experiences with leaders of other JCCs to assist each other in our quest to thrive and succeed. By being here--present and accounted for. That’s what being part of a movement means.
I look forward to engaging with you in the coming months.
We know that this Biennial can’t be business as usual, and we have rethought and restructured the conference to give you deeper insights and pragmatic solutions for the problems we are all facing. We have created more opportunities for leaders to learn and share with others from similar-size JCCs and cities. But we can’t do it without you. Register and bring your JCC leadership, lay and professional, with you. Together we can overcome any obstacle. And together, all of our JCCs can emerge stronger and more successful, and continue to meet our responsibilities to the Jewish community.
I’m looking forward to meeting you in Atlanta.

Letter from host community
Dear Colleagues,
As Atlanta co-chairs for the 2010 JCCs of North America Biennial, we want to tell you how excited we are to welcome each and every one of you to our amazing city. Only in Atlanta can you see the largest fish through the largest window in the largest aquarium in the world; try a real "Coke and a smile"; stroll through the collections of the premier art museum in the South; shop ‘til you drop at any of our fabulous malls; visit CNN & The Weather Channel in the same day; and visit the sites of both the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Center and the Jimmy Carter National Library and Museum!
We are especially thrilled to invite you to our host community event Sunday evening at the Marcus JCC of Atlanta, where we plan to wow you with a festive celebration including a kosher Southern-style BBQ as well as cultural performances and exhibitions showcasing what makes our MJCCA so special.
See y'all at the J!
